I hope that you find this post in good health and spirit. As many of you know I am a huge proponent of using technology in the classroom. However, this can become an issue due to the technology that I have access to. As a result I have spent the last few years amassing a small arsenal of professional microphones and video recording equipment to utilize in my daily class. Below is a video that I decided to make that will help me explain how simple musical parts work together to create a rather unique piece. following the video I will show you how to use basic technology to create professional content for your music classroom.
Now that you have seen the finished project let’s take a look at what I used to make the video.
- Go Pro Hero 4 shooting at 4k/20
- Blue Microphone Spark Digital recording pack
- Mixcraft (for audio editing)
- Adobe Premiere (video editing)
- Egg Shaker
Now that we see what we need to make the finished project let’s take a look at how it was made.
I started by setting up the microphone with mixcraft and my go pro to record the video. This allowed me to record and mix live audio. I recorded each video as a new audio track and layered and edited them in post (tutorial coming soon).
After I recorded the video and audio I pulled them off of the camera and edited the clips with Premiere. This allowed me to import the audio I wanted from Mixcraft as well as edit the video I wanted.
After I exported the video with premiere, I uploaded to youtube.
Now that you’ve seen how simple it is to make a professional looking video, go forth and create to your hearts content. If you have any questions please feel free to post below click the links below to keep updated with the latest creations from ModernTeacher.us and CannonEducation.
